Ms. Baigalmaa Purevsuren currently works in Brisbane, Australia as a Senior Consultant at a management consultancy team inside Rio Tinto, a leading global mining and metals company. Prior to relocating to Australia she worked as a Principal Advisor at Rio Tinto Mongolia as part of a small team managing in-country shareholder issues related to the Oyu Tolgoi project, Rio Tinto’s multi-billion-dollar investment in Southgobi, Mongolia. Previously she led a team of analysts for the Oyu Tolgoi project that delivered extensive research and analysis on emerging economic, financial and commercial issues and provided analytical support to the business focused on finding solutions to complex commercial challenges. From 2009-2011 Ms. Purevsuren worked in the United States first as a consultant at the World Bank and later as a business analyst at Rio Tinto, where she conducted financial and business analysis on a range of strategic issues. Ms. Purevsuren holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester, NY (2009) and a BBA in Operational Management from National University of Mongolia (2005).
