Ms. Manduul Altangerel is Advisor to the Minister of Mongolia and Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Government on legal affairs and international agreements. Ms. Altangerel has nearly two decades of experience as a practicing lawyer working in Mongolia, Australia, and Hong Kong providing international clients with strategic legal advice in relation to cross-border investments and projects, mainly in the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors. Her career involves working at various law firms including ELC Advocates LLP in Mongolia, and Allens - a leading international law firm. She also teaches law at major universities in Ulaanbaatar, and is an active member of the legal community in Mongolia, serving in several professional development projects at the Mongolian Bar Association. Ms. Altangerel maintains a keen participation in civil society initiatives, founding the Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) Network of Lean In – a global organization for women’s leadership and workplace inclusion (2014), and serving on the Boards of Let’s Make It Happen – for respectful maternity care (2021), and of the Mongolian Digital Law Research Institute (2023). She holds Master of Laws (LL.M) degrees from Harvard Law School (‘19), University of Warwick (‘10), the National University of Mongolia (‘09), and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the latter (‘07).
