Mirzo Ibragimov

Uzbekistan

Mirzo Ibragimov is an External Affairs Officer at the World Bank Office in Uzbekistan. In this capacity, he oversees communication support for one of the Bank’s largest investment portfolios in the Europe and Central Asia region, comprising over 25 projects totaling around $6 billion and implemented across various sectors.
From 2016 to 2017, he served as a Press and Information Officer at the Delegation of the European Union in Tashkent. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2015, Mr. Ibragimov was the Deputy Head of the Political and Public Diplomacy Section at the British Embassy in Uzbekistan, where he managed the Embassy’s media and public diplomacy activities and analyzed key political and economic developments in Central Asia.

From 2008 to 2012, he worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross Delegation for Central Asia, focusing on capacity-building activities for the Ministries of Defense in the region, particularly in the field of the Law of Armed Conflict.

Mr. Ibragimov holds an MA in Central Asian Studies from the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (2006), and an LLB in International Law from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (2005).
