Mr. Sarkhan Hashimov is the Director-General of Microsoft for Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. He also serves as a Board Member of Microsoft for CIS countries. In this role, Mr. Hashimov oversees the execution of the company’s strategic priorities, working to accelerate its Cloud and Mobility journey, ensuring that Microsoft delivers true value to customers, optimizing customer benefits through high levels of deployment and consumption, and improving customer satisfaction, retention and long-term growth. Mr. Hashimov has extensive experience in project management, consulting and business development. His technical knowledge covers cloud technologies, mobile applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP). Mr. Hashimov holds an MBA (2007) and a BA in International Economic Relations (2004) from Azerbaijan State University of Economics. In addition, Mr. Hashimov is an international chess master. He is a 10-time champion of Azerbaijan, a second runner-up at the European championship and a winner of the elite tournament in San Sebastián, Spain.
