Bakhrom Radjabov

Uzbekistan

Dr. Bakhrom Radjabov is an expert on social innovation, political economy, and international development with a focus on the research and application of social innovations in the Eurasian region. He is currently the Program Officer (Head of the Unit) at UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan. As the adjunct professor at Webster University in Tashkent he teaches undergraduate course in International Relations and graduate courses at MA Education and Innovation. Dr. Radjabov has previously served as the Head of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Uzbekistan. He worked as the Senior Administrative Assistant at OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Missions to the Republic of Uzbekistan. Dr. Radjabov also worked at the UNDP in Uzbekistan, served as the National Project Coordinator for the German International Development Corporation (GIZ) regional project, and the Project Manager of the UNDP/Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations Joint Project. Dr. Radjabov holds PhD in Social Science and MA in international studies from the University of Tsukuba, Japan; an MA in global political economy from the University of Kassel in Germany. He was trained in social entrepreneurship and humanitarian innovations at the Brown International Advanced Research Institutes, Brown University and in public policy at the Central Asia Program, Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University; and in think tank leadership in Central Asia at the Hartie School of Governance and Eurasia Foundation. He is the author of the book “Social innovations in post-Soviet countries” published by Routledge in 2022.
