Zarrina Abdulalieva

Tajikistan

Ms. Zarrina Abdulalieva is a Country Officer at the World Bank in Tajikistan where she manages the country portfolio, leads the dialogue and relationship with the government and participates in the development strategy for the country. Before joining the World Bank in January 2017, she worked for six years with the Asian Development Bank in Tajikistan as a Project Officer. Ms. Abdulalieva’s extensive professional experience also includes working for the American Bar
Association/Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative in Tajikistan, where she promoted gender equality and women’s rights. Ms. Abdulalieva holds an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK (2016, Chevening Scholarship), an MA in Diplomacy and International Commerce from the University of Kentucky’s Patterson School of Diplomacy (2008, Edmund S. Muskie Scholarship), a BA in Law from the Tyumen State University of Russian Federation in Tajikistan (2007) and a BA in International Relations from the Slavonic Russian-Tajik University in Dushanbe, Tajikistan (2001).
