Mr. Malik Mukhitdinov is a Program Officer at the Japan International Cooperation Agency’s (JICA) Uzbekistan Representative Office where he coordinates cross-sector and regional projects in Uzbekistan in close partnership with different Uzbek government agencies, including the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Investment Committee as well as the ministries of Finance, Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Health, Labor, and Agriculture and Water Resources. His countries of operation at JICA also include Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Previously, Mr. Mukhitdinov worked on numerous UNDP projects in Uzbekistan. He is an experienced and committed development professional and his professional interest areas include renewable energy, agriculture, poverty reduction and economic growth. Mr. Mukhitdinov holds an MSc in International Strategy and Economics from the University of St. Andrews, UK (2008), a BSc in International Economic Relations from the Tashkent State University of Economics (2004) and a BSc in Zoo Engineering from Tashkent Agricultural University (2001).
