Almazbek Beishenaliev

Dr. Almazbek Beishenaliev (Kyrgyzstan) is a Director of the Regional Institute of Central Asia in Bishkek. Prior, from 2017-18, he was a Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport in the Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. From 2016-17 he was a visiting Fellow at the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute at the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University and from 2013-14 he was a Visiting Professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Education.From2014-17 Dr. Beishenaliev served as a Vice Rector for Research, Development and External Affairs at International Ala-Too University in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and from 2012-13 as a Vice Chancellor for student affairs at Vistula University in Warsaw, Poland. Dr. Beishenaliev received a Medal of Excellence in Education from the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and a medal of European Scientific Consortium “Laborte de Scienta.”He is an author of more than 60 articles, books and monographs in education, history, politics and culture. Dr. Beishenaliev holds a PhD in Education from Arabaev Kyrgyz State University (2012) and another Ph.D. in History from the same University with a dissertation on the “U.S. Role in Foreign Policy of Central Asia and Kyrgyzstan” (2018). He also holds an MA in Education from the Ludwigsburg University of Education, Germany (2007) and a BA in English Philology from Naryn State University, Kyrgyzstan (2001).
