Mr. Nurtas Janibekov is an Adviser to the Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), a financial hub for Central Asia, the Caucasus, EAEU, the Middle East, West China, Mongolia and Europe. Mr. Janibekov is a qualified specialist in strategic communications and public relations, international relations and economics. Prior to joining AIFC, he served as a Consultant in the Office of the President of Kazakhstan and earlier as a Senior Research Fellow at the Research and Analysis Division of the Nazarbayev Center, the Library of the President of Kazakhstan. Mr. Janibekov holds an MA in Economics from the University of Economics, Finance and International Trade, Kazakhstan (2015) and a BA in economics from the Turan University, Kazakhstan (2012). He is currently pursuing his PhD in Political Science at the Eurasian National University in Astana (2021) and an EMBA at the Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance, China (2021). He also attended training programs at Harvard Business School and Columbia Business School.
