Ashir Ashirov

Mr. Ashir Ashirov is currently working as a consultant with iUNU, an American tech company, for their project in Canada. Previously Mr. Ashirov worked for the U.S. Department of State, most recently at the American Institute in Taiwan. Prior to that he undertook professional training in the field of regional studies and management at the Foreign Service Institute of the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. His previous experience includes working and conducting research for several EU entities while in Jerusalem, Israel and working for the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime in Central Asia and for the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Mr. Ashirov holds an MS in GIS studies from Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration (2006) and a BA in Oriental and Iranian Studies from Turkmen State University (2001). Additionally, Mr. Ashirov had professional trainings at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, the Geneva Center for Security Policy in Switzerland and the International Anti-Corruption Academy in Austria.
