Ermek Baisalov

Mr. Ermek Baisalov is an Editor of the Central Asian Bureau for Analytical Reporting (CABAR.asia), a project of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting, which is a digital platform and online think tank established to exchange ideas between politicians, experts, academics, media and civil society representatives in Central Asia, as well as offers ways to overcome the barriers to intergovernmental and regional cooperation. In this capacity, Mr. Baisalov is responsible for the development and publication of analytical articles and materials, policy briefs, research papers, investigative reports and multimedia products, as well as the organization of trainings and events on significant issues in Central Asian countries. Prior to joining the media, Mr. Baisalov worked in various international organizations such as OSCE and the Danish Refugee Council, as well as participated in international election observation missions in Afghanistan, Ukraine and Kosovo. Mr. Baisalov holds an MA in Politics and Security in Central Asia from the OSCE Academy in Bishkek (2017) and a BA in International and Comparative Politics from the American University in Central Asia in Bishkek (2010).
