Mr. Giorgi Cherkezishvili is the Head of Secretariat of the Investors Council of Georgia, an independent advisory body to the Prime Minister of Georgia, which was established by the Government of Georgia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He is also the Chief Investment Officer at Wings & Freeman Capital, which provides financial solutions and fundraising services to SMEs and Corporations in the countries of the former Soviet Union. In 2010, the company became a member of the Enterprise Development Network launched by OPIC as a public private initiative. Previously, from 2017-2018, Mr. Cherkezishvili served as a Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, responsible for covering transport and logistics, communications and innovations, investments and entrepreneurship. In addition, from 2014-2016, Mr. Cherkezishvili worked as a Head of the Investment Department at JSC Partnership Fund, Georgia’s largest state-owned investment fund. Prior to joining the government, Mr. Cherkezishvili held different positions in the Corporate Banking Department of JSC Bank of Georgia. Mr. Cherkezishvili holds an MBA in Global Management from Grenoble Graduate School of Business, France and Caucasus Business School, Georgia (2015), and an MA (2003) and a BA (2001) in International Economic Relations from the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
