Lt. Col. Mohd Musadiq Yaftali served as an Officer in the National Army of Afghanistan and for the last 12 years has been an active member of the Afghan National Army Special Forces, rising through the ranks from Platoon Commander to Battalion Commander. He has also served as an assistant to the Chief of General Staff of Afghanistan. In 2018, by the order of the President of Afghanistan, he became one of the youngest Lieutenant Colonels in the Afghan Army following the successful completion of a military mission in the Ghazni Province. As a member of the active military, Lt. Col. Yaftali has been dedicated to serving the needs of his country. His responsibilities in combat over the years have included carrying out covert operations, gathering intelligence and conducting surveillance with partners from the U.S. Army. His extensive training, deep knowledge and experience in combat operations, tactical estimates in logistical, intelligence and surveillance operations, in addition to his calm demeanor and analytical skills, allow him to work well under pressure, doing his utmost to complete mission objectives while ensuring minimal losses. Lt. Col. Yaftali holds an MA from the Defense Academy of the United Kingdom in London (2019) and a BA from the Military Academy of the German Armed Forces in Hamburg (2014).
