Giorgi Khojevanishvili

Mr. Giorgi Khojevanishvili is an attorney and a majoritarian member of the Parliament of Georgia since 2020. He is a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-governance where he oversees the implementation of policies and different programs in the regions of Georgia. Prior to becoming a Member of the Parliament, from 2018-2020, Mr. Khojevanishvili served as Governor of the Shida Kartli region appointed by the Prime Minister of Georgia. As a Governor, he was the State’s chief executive in the region and implemented State policies on a regional level. Previously, he served as Head of the Legal Division at Magticom Ltd., Georgia’s largest mobile operator (2013-2018), Head of the International Relations Department at the Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia (2010-2013) and as a Liaison Officer/Consultant of the Vénice Commission to the Georgian National Constitutional Commission (2009-2010). Mr. Khojevanishvili holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Georgian Technical University in Tbilisi, Georgia (2016); a Master of Public International and European Law (LLM) from Riga Graduate School of Law in Latvia (2007) and a Bachelor of Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in Georgia (2006).
