Seasoned private equity professional with 18 years of experience in investment banking, telecommunications, real estate and energy (power generating). Most recently, he was a Senior Investment Director at Sigma Capital, a private equity company. From 2018-2022, Mr. Naizabekov served as a board member at two of the largest telecommunications companies in Kazakhstan, Kazakhtelecom and Kcell, where he was responsible for making strategic decisions about company developments. From 2016-2021, he served as a board member of a power-generating company, Central Asian Electric Power Corporation (CAEPCO), and a leading investment bank in Kazakhstan, Kazkommerts Securities. From 2015-2017, Mr. Naizabekov was the CEO of Estate Management Company, Kazakhstan's prime real estate management firm, and from 2007-2014, he held various senior positions at the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the National Investment Corporation, where he oversaw managing Kazakhstan's foreign exchange reserves and oil fund assets. Mr. Naizabekov holds an M.Sc. in Management and Finance from University College London (2015) and a BA in Mathematics and Business Information Systems from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (2004). From January 2023 he will pursue a Master’s in Leadership and Strategy at the Alfred Sloan Program at London Business School.
