Ms. Nazgul Konurbaeva is the Co-founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Capital Media Company, the first multi-media platform in Kyrgyzstan that has been covering economic and business topics and promoting liberal economic values through the main channel of the state's television company in Kyrgyzstan as well as social media platforms since 2014. Since its creation, Capital Media has been a trendsetter in the media space of Kyrgyzstan. Discussions on such topics as the importance of developing the creative economy in the country and cooperation and integration in Central Asia were started by Capital Media and have gone mainstream since. Capital Media has also been a pioneer in explaining major economic and financial concepts and promoting financial literacy through media content in Kyrgyz language. In addition, Capital Media provides corporate and government clients with video content and graphic design products, consulting, PR campaign management, media coverage and promotion, and event organization/management services. In the past, Ms. Konurbaeva worked for BBC World Service as well as Kyrgyz TV channels and collaborated with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty to report on economic topics. She holds a BA in Philosophy from Kyrgyz National University (2007).
