Mr. Areg Kochinya is the President of the Research Center on Security Policy, a think-tank established in 2022 that conducts research and analysis as well as provides consultations on politics, security and other spheres of public life. The Center is positioning itself as a public opinion leader and a policy influencer. Mr. Kochinyan is also a Deputy CEO at X-Art LLC, an IT company specializing in integration and installation of data centers. Previously, from 2018-2020, he was a Spokesperson of the National Security Council of Armenia. Mr. Kochinyan is a historian and a political scientist as well as the author of numerous monographs, papers, articles and columns. He is a frequent commentator in national and international media on security policy and social transformation issues and has participated in numerous national and international conferences and educational programs. Mr. Kochinyan holds an MA in World History from Yerevan State University (2017), an MA in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia (2017) and a BA in Political Science (2017) and a BA in History (2015), both from Yerevan State University. He is also a graduate of the American Institute on Political and Economic Studies at Charles University in Prague (2015) and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Transitional Societies at Yerevan State University.
