Mr. Sanan Shabanov is a Senior Investment Officer for the Central and West Asian Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Azerbaijan Resident Mission. In this capacity, he covers ADB’s private sector investment transactions and Public-Private Partnership portfolios in Azerbaijan. Prior to joining ABD, from 2017-2020, Mr. Shabanov served as a National Program Officer at the Swiss Cooperation Office for the South Caucasus, where he was responsible for private sector development and support to macroeconomic stability programs of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). From 2016-2017, Mr. Shabanov was a Leading Specialist at Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan, from 2014-2016, a Leading Specialist at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and, from 2011-2013, a Chief Adviser at the Department for Cooperation with International Organizations at the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan. Mr. Shabanov holds an MS in Finance from Queen Mary University of London (2014) and a BS in Economics from Azerbaijan State University of Economics (2007).
