Mr. Merdan Atayev is a National Consultant for the Development of Trade Facilitation Portal at the International Trade Center of the World Trade Organization and a Finance Specialist at Gujurly Inzener Economic Company. He specializes in international trade, business development and finance and, since 2013, has worked for and/or provided services to United Nations Development Program, DAI Human Dynamics, International Trade Center and local business companies. Over the years, Mr. Atayev, independently and/or as part of a team, has managed the multi-million dollar budget of a project aimed at fighting tuberculosis; has developed a study course for Public Finance for the new Master of Public Administration Program of the Civil Service Academy under the President of Turkmenistan; has researched and mapped the procedures and requirements necessary for importing to and exporting from Turkmenistan; and has streamlined financial and business processes for local companies. Mr. Atayev holds an MBA from Central European University Business School (2012) and a BA in English Language and Literature from Magtymguly Turkmen State University (2004).
