Ara Hovsepyan

Mr. Ara Hovsepyan is the General Manager of Contour Global Hydro Cascade, the Armenian subsidiary of Contour Global LP, which is an American energy company investing in energy production around the world. In Armenia, Contour Global LP owns and manages Vorotan HPP, the biggest hydro energy-producing plant in the country. Mr. Hovsepyan started his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995, leaving in 2000 to become the first local Head of the Armenian Office of the U.K. Department for International Development. From 2006 to 2011, Mr. Hovsepyan served as the CEO of the Millennium Challenge Account in Armenia. In 2011, Mr. Hovsepyan moved to lead the North-South Road Corridor Investment project, funded by ADB and the Government of Armenia. Mr. Hovsepyan holds a post-graduate diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy from Oxford University, UK (Exeter College, 1999), an MA in Political Science and International Relations from the American University of Armenia (1997) and a BA from Yerevan State University of Foreign Languages.
