Omer Uloomi

Afghanistan

Mr. Omer Uloomi is a Regional Manager of Operations for Hanjin Intermodal at America’s Regional Headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. Previously, he served in Afghanistan as the Vice President of Hanjin Intermodal, which is a Prime Contractor for the U.S. Army’s Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, Defense Logistics Agency, and the U.S. General Services Administration. Prior to joining Hanjin in 2009, Mr. Uloomi served as Chief of Logistics with the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Kabul and as the UNOPS Regional Logistics Manager in Southern Afghanistan, where he oversaw the Afghan Parliamentary and Presidential elections and received a prestigious Joint Electoral Management Body Award from the UN and Afghan Government for his outstanding services. During the Taliban ruling, Mr. Uloomi served with Médecins Sans Frontières. Mr. Uloomi holds an MBA in Project Management from Preston University in Islamabad, Pakistan (2009) and a BA from the Economic School of Kabul University (2004).
