Mr. Suren Sargsyan is a PhD candidate in American Studies and a Lecturer at Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences. He is also an expert/analyst at the International and Comparative Law Center of Armenia, which he co-founded in 2011. From 2016-2018, Mr. Sargsyan was a Foreign Policy Adviser to the Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia and from 2014-2016, he was a researcher and a teaching assistant at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, concentrating on U.S. Foreign Policy in the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region. Previously, he held numerous positions in the Government of Armenia including serving as an Adviser to the Prime Minister of Armenia from 2011-2014 and as a Chief Legal Specialist in the Administration of the President of Armenia from 2004-2011. Mr. Sargsyan holds a Master of International Law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, Boston (2010), an LLM from the American University of Armenia (2007) and an LLB from Yerevan State University Law School, Armenia (2003).
