Mr. Varlam (Vako) Avaliani is the Founder and Managing Partner at "ABsolutions," a company focused on public relations consulting. He also serves as a Director General of "Euromedia Georgia," a full-service production company specializing in sports events and show business production. Previously, Mr. Avaliani served as a Deputy Minister of Defense of Georgia in 2014 and a Chief Adviser to the Minister of Defense from 2012-2013. From 2009-2012 he worked as the Spokesperson of the “Free Democrats” political party. Prior to joining politics, Mr. Avaliani had an impressive career in journalism. From 1998-2009 he worked as a reporter and an anchor at various leading TV companies in Georgia. In 2004, the Independent Association of Georgian Journalists named him “Journalist of the Year” for reporting from “hot spots.” Mr. Avaliani holds Certificates from NATO Defense College in Rome (2014) and a BA in Economics from Georgian Technical University (2001).
