Mr. Zurab Parjiani is a Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Georgia to the Federative Republic of Brazil. Before this assignment he served as a Deputy Head of the Political Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. His areas of interest are international affairs and security issues in the South Caucasus and the Middle East, European politics, and international terrorism, among others. Prior to joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 2014-16 Mr. Parjiani worked for the State Security and Crisis Management Council of Georgia and from 2009-14 at the Ministry of Defense of Georgia. Mr. Parjiani is a guest lecturer at the Georgian Institute for Public Affairs (GIPA) and the University of Georgia, Tbilisi. Mr. Parjiani holds an LLM from the School of Law at Tbilisi State University (2004), an MA in Security Studies from the College of International Security Studies at National Defense University, Washington, D.C. (2013) and an MA in International Relations from the Georgian Institute for Public Affairs (GIPA, 2008).
